Funded Early Education
Chasewell Playgroup offers funded early education places for eligible 2-year-olds and all 3- and 4-year-olds. We offer the universal 15 hours entitlement and extended 30 hours for eligible families.
Funded hours can be taken across our sessions:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 am-12 pm or 9 am–1 pm
Tuesday and Thursday 9 am-12 pm, 9 am-1 pm, or 9 am–3 pm.
Chasewell Playgroup does not charge for funded hours.
As a registered charity, we invite families to make a voluntary donation of £8 per month to support resources and snacks. This donation is completely optional and not required to access funded hours.
Choosing not to make a voluntary donation will not affect a child’s funded place or access to sessions
Full details of our funded offer, fees and voluntary contributions are outlined in our Terms and Conditions provided to parents before a child starts and available on request.
Drama Tots – Weekly Enrichment
We are delighted to welcome Drama Tots to Chasewell Playgroup every Wednesday. These fun, interactive sessions use music, movement, imagination and drama and have become a firm favourite with our children.
To help us continue to offer Drama Tots, we invite families to make a voluntary contribution of £3 per session. These contributions help Chasewell meet the cost of bringing this additional enrichment activity into the setting.
Payment is entirely voluntary. All children attending the session are invited to take part in Drama Tots, whether or not their family makes a contribution, and choosing not to contribute will not affect your child's funded place or their access to the session.
As a small charitable setting, we rely on voluntary contributions to make additional opportunities like this financially sustainable. If we do not receive enough contributions to cover the ongoing cost, we may unfortunately need to review whether we are able to continue offering Drama Tots in the future.
There is no charge for an alternative activity, as every child attending is welcome to participate.
